Mysteryland

Step into a world of enchantment, where music, art, and magic intertwine. Mysteryland, The Netherlands' largest and most iconic festival, is celebrating its momentous 30th birthday. And what better way to honor this milestone than by unveiling a brand new website with refreshed branding that sets the stage for the next 30 years of unforgettable experiences.

Challenge

Create a captivating experience that effectively communicates the new Mysteryland branding—exceptional work from Toykyo. Additionally, we aim to develop a future-proof and easily customizable interface that can be utilized for various marketing moments and festival editions. While ensuring that purchasing tickets remains top priority in terms of conversion, we also want to provide festival-goers with essential information about the event, the impressive lineup, and opportunities to discover new artists and relive earlier years.

Solution

To address these challenges, we implemented re-usable components that offer flexibility to the Mysteryland content team together with the dev’s at OneTribe. These components can be used in different ways according to the content. By utilizing this library of components, Mysteryland will have the ability to create new pages or incorporate specific components into existing ones effortlessly.

We included an intuitive overview featuring all 300 (!) artists performing at the event. This overview allows visitors to explore artist profiles through two distinct approaches: an immersive grid view for those seeking a more engaging experience, as well as a traditional list view for quick navigation.

In addition to these features, we added playful overlays for branded Lottie loops. These overlays can be easily configured and positioned over page content as desired—adding a touch of excitement and interactivity, while maintaining consistency with the overall branding.

Through this comprehensive approach leveraging re-usable components, immersive artist exploration options, and visually appealing overlays, we provided user experience that aligns with Mysteryland's new brand identity while increasing the ticket conversion online!
