Superstellar

Coccinelle has become Superstellar. It has been an incredible journey to develop a new name and brand identity that truly embodies luxury and elegance. Let us go over a few highlights:

Name
'Superstellar' is carefully crafted, so it not only captures the essence of luxury but also exudes approachability and fun. It is a name that ignites your imagination and carries a complete story and universe—which we can brand into eternity!

Wordmark
We used uppercase typography with elegant spaced-out kerning and a distinctive typeface with a high x-height to give the impression of letters floating. This wordmark's sophistication sets the tone for the entire brand.


Emblem
The emblem is both beautiful and intelligent. Because of its full-bodied design, it can be used in small formats while remaining legible and impactful. Its elegant shape exemplifies Superstellar's luxurious side. The emblem is none other than the iconic 'S', instantly recognizable as Superstellar. Notably, its counter shapes are influenced by satellite rings, a visual symbol that is further explored in the branding.


Typography
The use of Optimo's Basel Classic and Basel Grotesk typefaces perfectly complements the wordmark. These fonts strike a balance between recognizability, elegance, and refinement for both headers and copy. They seamlessly adapt across various communication contexts, ensuring consistency throughout.


Color
The color palette for Superstellar was chosen to be instantly recognizable while also being highly adaptable enough to accommodate the various brand identities it represents. Deep night blue, elegant off white, and a touch of luxurious gold are the everyday base colors for bags, labels, and other items. However, we have introduced an infinite number of color combinations that adapt to different brands and seasons in communication and special campaigns by documenting a specific use to combine content background colors within the branded shapes.

The overall brand identity we developed is extremely adaptable, seamlessly transitioning from day-to-day events to more special events such as Christmas or back-to-school campaigns. It allows for an infinite number of combinations, from sophisticated to playful, while always maintaining the Superstellar touch of luxury.



E-commerce (Shopify Plus)
On Superstellar's new webshop, the application of our re-branding really shines. We carefully balanced Superstellar's brand experience—based on their careful selection of high-end brands—with conversion-optimized customer journeys and features. Code has implemented everything you can expect from our experience launching 50+ Shopify Plus stores together, including a fully branded Loyalty Program based on Loyalty Lion, advanced Klaviyo flows, and Gorgias customer service.


This is just the beginning of Superstellar's story. It establishes the foundation for future stories and visual moments to be woven into their brand narrative.
